New Electromagnetic Flow Transmitters

The electromagnetic flowmeter EPD is a high-precision flowmeter manufactured on the basis of the latest international technology. It finds wide application in the paper industry, chemical industry, metal industry, drainage, waste water treatment, high pressure liquid measurement, medical care, food industry and environmental protection. It is used to measure non-magnetic liquid and plasma in the closed tube.

The operating principle of the electromagnetic flowmeter is based on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction. When the conductive liquid flows in a direction orthogonal to the direction of the magnetic line, it cuts the magnetic lines and generates an induced voltage, which shows a linear relationship to the flow velocity. In this way, the volume flow of the fluid can be calculated. The electromagnetic flowmeter EPD consists mainly of the sensor and the transmitter. The measuring tube of the sensor is equipped with upward and downward excitation coils. The transmitter supplies the excitation current, which generates the magnetic field that passes through the measuring tube when switched on. A pair of induction electrodes installed on the inside of the measuring tube makes contact with the liquid to conduct the induced voltage to the sensor.

  • Low impact on the environment
Measurement results are unaffected by changes in density, viscosity, temperature, pressure and conductivity of the liquid; Can be widely applied to conductive liquids that may contain fibres, solid granules and suspended substances; Enclosure degree of protection: IP67/NEMA 4X.
  • Wide measuring range and high efficiency
The large measurement turndown ratio can be up to 1:100, which can be set randomly and achieve high accuracy for measuring small flows; Highly integrated two-line backlit display, double insulation, parameter setting, menu operation, memory function, reliable programming, lock and password access, small signal elimination, non-linear correction and bidirectional measurement; Various outputs: 4~20mA current output, 2~8KHz frequency output and RS485 communication.
  • Multiple self-diagnosis function
Energy-saving and low error rate: The measuring tube is free of baffles and moving parts, so it does not cause pressure loss or jams; Intelligent self-detection and self-diagnosis function, plus various alarms.
  • Low installation cost
It is easy to install with reduced requirements for the straight tube section (front 5D and rear 2D); 2-wire analogue output.
