New Electromagnetic Flow Transmitters

The electromagnetic flowmeter EPD is a high-precision flowmeter manufactured on the basis of the latest international technology. It finds wide application in the paper industry, chemical industry, metal industry, drainage, waste water treatment, high pressure liquid measurement, medical care, food industry and environmental protection. It is used to measure non-magnetic liquid and plasma in the closed tube.

Operating

The operating principle of the electromagnetic flowmeter is based on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction. When the conductive liquid flows in a direction orthogonal to the direction of the magnetic line, it cuts the magnetic lines and generates an induced voltage, which shows a linear relationship to the flow velocity. In this way, the volume flow of the fluid can be calculated. The electromagnetic flowmeter EPD consists mainly of the sensor and the transmitter. The measuring tube of the sensor is equipped with upward and downward excitation coils. The transmitter supplies the excitation current, which generates the magnetic field that passes through the measuring tube when switched on. A pair of induction electrodes installed on the inside of the measuring tube makes contact with the liquid to conduct the induced voltage to the sensor.
